[Email] Anyone else's Cox email hacked?

So long story short, my gmail was hacked because someone gained access to an old Cox.net email that was used as the password reset. I don't blame Cox for the gmail access, but I DO blame them for having a exploit in their system that allows perps. to activate Cox accounts with very little to no information about you. I know because I then used that exploit with my Cox.net account and posted on Cox's official forum. They didn't respond to me there, all they did was delete the forum account, and then a day later, delete the email address. I made a thread on a different forum(BC) and I was banned because forum owner didn't want to "become involved in a legal issue". I don't want this to become a legal issue. The cox.net email address did have some legal papers sent to it, and in that way I NEED to know it was totally deleted, but Cox is being slow to give me a answer. So basically I want to know who else has had their Cox.net email address compromised. If you haven't logged in a while, I suggest doing so and check your email's inbound filters for any modification. Also check your sent mail if you had it set to save outgoing email. Any website use that email to sign in? To proove it's not just me (a ex employee) being salty, here are some other posts from other users having the same issue.
