I was looking at switching over to Cox HSI (from CenturyLink DSL), and of course, their online pricing is significantly cheaper than walking in to a Cox store. They have their pricing listed at https://www.cox.com/residential/pricing.html and have self-installation listed as a $20 one time charge. So I select their Preferred 100 tier and check the box saying I will provide my own modem, and when I go to check out, it forces a $75 professional install charge on me. There's no longer an option to choose the self-install they have listed on their pricing page (I believe you were able to choose this before). What gives? Frankly, even $20 for a "self-install" is too much when I can supply my own modem and my own piece of RG-6 coax that I picked up from Monoprice for a couple of bucks.
