I've had Cox at home for about a decade now and been rocking the old Motorola Surfboard that whole time. I've seen the Cox mailers with offers to sell me a new modem before - which I roundfiled - but now I have a letter offering a new modem for free. "At no cost to you!" in all caps, with a big "ACT NOW TO AVOID SERVICE INTERRUPTION" on the envelope and letter.
I'm a little wary of "free" offers, especially when they used to cost money. Can anyone tell me if this is truly free, or will I be seeing a little charge pop up in a few months?
