I’ve been having general packet loss and internet connectivity problems with COX for a while. These sometimes issues sometimes managed to match T3 and T4 errors that the modem would display. Prior to my service calls since 5/4/2018 it would be common to see pings to Google to be around 54ms. Now I average around sub 30ms ipv4 and 20ms ipv6. A buried line was installed by COX back in 1/2018 and all cables, as of some escalated visit in 5/2018, have been replaced. Nothing is older then 4-5 months old with my connection to COX. Some line escalations replaced some equipment in a “node?” up the street which caused major signal fluctuations. I’ve seen the signal go as low as -8dBmV - +13dBmV for the downstream. After that one node visit I had upstream getting locked to one channel, was told that was a safemode, with the power being 54dBmV. The escalation Tech I’ve been in touch with metered my tap again during two instances on 6/13/2018 for an hour in the afternoon and thirty minutes in the evening. I was told he done this because more work as done on a service line on 129TH street in Tulsa. He submitted a ticket for a line crew to possibly replace the tap connector that hooks up for 4 residences on a post in my backyard. He told me he was able to produce errors just tapping around on it while metering, said this was in the cable TV frequencies though. That tap replacement never happened though. Now I’m expecting another tech on 6/18/2018 for continued service problems. I’m told my upstream signal is critically low. I’ve contacted Arris and they tell me ch159 and that number of uncorrectable is an unresolved signal issue. That same escalation tech was confused when I mentioned I had bonded channels around the 300MHz range. I believe he said COX HSI only uses 130-153MHz and 700-900MHz. Anyways my issues seem to be ipv4 resolution going out. The modem webpage is inaccessible and shows up as major packet loss with my ipv4 google pining. Ipv6 sites continue to work and pingplotter seems OK. The modem had to be reset to restore regular connectivity. I believe I continue to get firmware updates or something. It was only recently as of a reset on 6/15 that my modem’s event log would render correctly in chrome. D31CM-PEREGRINE-1.1.1.0-GA-14-NOSH
