A friend of mine in central-ish Phoenix (Central & Camelback) is paying for the 30/3 package. His speeds are on target but he gets all C's on the dslreports test. I looked at his modem (cm600) and saw something I've never seen - the downstream power for the first 16 channels are all around +15, some almost 17. Then the weird thing - the last 8 channels are all around -13(!). He's got correctables on the first 16 channels, nothing on the last 8. All channels say 'Locked'. Upstream levels all in the high 30's - low 40's.
We bypassed everything on the side of the house to give him the cleanest connection possible - no splitters, no amps - but we didn't open the pedestal or whatever you call it, so I have no idea what's going on there.
Any suggestions on what he should say to tech support? His connection goes out but only sporadically. My hope is that they see these levels and scream OMG I'll get someone out there immediately!
Haha yeah right I know.
