This morning my connection started dropping intermittently, as well as getting horrendous connection speeds when it was working. I set up a Smokeping on DSLReports, and so far my packet loss since 2pm this afternoon has been around 30% between California, Michigan, and Kansas, with periods of total loss.
I called support, and my account was noted saying that the customer has a wiring problem. The tech wanted to roll a truck, but I want to make sure that it is not a problem with my internal wiring (which Cox won't cover, and will charge me $75 minimum to fix) before having them come out to my house.
Any way to get a hold of a level 2 tech to see if they can give me a real answer?
