My signal issues with Internet have escalated to the point that my modem will not stay in sync, and when it does, it doesn't channel-bond and only connects to one channel down and one channel up with a terrible SNR - something like 27 on the downstream. T3 timeouts everywhere - including logs saying "16 consecutive T3 timeouts when trying to range..."
When it does manage to channel-bond, the power levels are all over the place on all 32 channels, and my upstream power level is extremely high - approaching 50. But the downstream SNR is fine.
The on-demand functions of my Contour 2 system do not work either, and only actual TV channels work. They worked up until today. Not sure if related, but the GUI of the Contour 2 box is moving extremely slowly since these issues started.
I noticed there was a work-order for a POE filter to be installed this past Friday, and indeed it was installed in the Cox box outside. This is when the issues really escalated. This filter was installed even though I do not have Whole Home DVR service.
I have tried different outlets. I have tried a different splitter (same Antronix brand that Cox used for the setup here, only this one is from when I had Charter a few years back) with no luck. I am unable to remove the POE filter outside to test my modem directly at the incoming line.
A technician is coming tomorrow to check the outside (I will not be here) and one for the inside is coming on Tuesday, but I'm curious - what could cause all these issues? Before, I was having to reset the modem weekly, which then became daily, and now I have nothing. I just haven't been able to make an appointment about the issue until now.
