Cisco DPC3829AD in Phoenix, connecting to SonicWall TZ 215

Cox Business Cisco modem/router (wireless also)... was setup by Cox. Would like to use the SonicWall TZ 215 but having difficulty getting the two devices to work together. The Cisco was set up as Router (including Wireless)... when all but one port is disconnected and 'that' one connected to the WAN input of the SonicWall, the DHCP is providing an address but not sure of exactly how to get these working. Would like to 'configure' the Cisco as 'just' a cable modem, turn off DHCP/Wireless and then get a 'wan' feed to the SonicWall but I've tried turning off the DHCP and using a "Cable modem" config in the SonicWall but the subnet mask seems to be conflicting (using basic 192.168.0.XXX and 255.255.255.0 (however the 'Wan' address of the Cisco is showing a conflicting subnet of 255.255.255.224 and the configuration of the SonicWall won't complete because of that... Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks very much.
