Used to live in Hendo-area. Moved to North Las Vegas and service has been terrible. We’ve been here one month and have had more than 5 outages lasting more than 20 minutes to several hours. Henderson has a handful per year, if that. Having been on the highest tier service, pay extra for unlimited and the service keeps going out every few days. This week alone it’s been down on Wed, Thurs, and again today. I call every time and they say there’s no known outage then call back with an alert indicating there’s a known outage in the area. For over $2000 a year for HSI I expect better than this. I’ve complained about every screwed up thing Cox has done since enforcing the 2TB cap that was silently reduced to 1TB then paying the exorbitant fee for unlimited data and still can’t get reliable service. No clue what to do at this point. I can switch to Centurylink for $45 a month for 25Mbps or keep sticking it out with terrible service. I am almost at the point where I am willing to buy a second business account just to complain to the 7025072003 number so I can actually get someone to take these outages seriously.

[Gigablast] Why does my account constantly say "Service Interrupted"?
I'm on GigaBlast D3.1 with the CM8200 modem. At least for the past week, every day my account says "Service Interrupted." However, everything seems to be working fine. Signal levels are good and speed test results are good. Anyone know why?

[CA] Cox Mini Box Evolve Digital DZ10HD MB 7.4E
Cox replaced my Cisco DTA250 with a Evolve Digital DX10HD MB 7.4E. The Cicso had stopped working. Any difference between the Cicso and Evolve Digital boxes? The new mini box seems a little slower to respond and less crisp vs the old box. Old box went out suddently no signal no communication so they replaced it. Also, anyone know what mini boxes Cox uses now if they're all that Evolve Digital, if they still use Cisco, or have other ones?
And with the digital terminal adapter set top box low cost converters/ adapters that let Cox go to all HD and open up space on their lines is the a true HD signal from the box to a Digital TV? And can they box communicate with Cox to get software or firmware updates or is it just a dumb box they can't update?
We mostly stream video but like to get the basic Channels from Cox like NBC, CBS, ABC, etc. and would probably give it up if our current discount promotion didn't require TV. Basic Cox TV sound cheap and was until the $7.50 recovery fee and $2.50 box fee.

[LA] Modem constantly losing connection
Hey all, I've been struggling with some connection issues for the last two weeks in Baton Rouge. Connection will sporadically drop out every hour or so and come back up in a few minutes. First experienced this with Cox's new Panoramic modem (CGM4140) and it was driving me nuts about 2 weeks ago. A tech came out after I complained about it and put a MoCA filter on the back of the modem for some reason (GLF-1002) saying that was the issue, and it happened again once the tech left (note, I've had Contour 2 for nearly a year now, and have one of those filters on the line going into the house. Also, Cox replaced the line from the house to their box about a year ago as well when I was having other issues). Went to Cox the next day (about 3-4 days ago) and they swapped the modem for the older TG2472, and all seemed good until today and now it started happening again. Now I'm getting frustrated, just went out and bought a SB8200 and the same thing is happening to it. As far as I understand, all my power levels and snr's are fine, so I'm not sure what's up. Note that the filter the tech put on is still on.
Screenshots (They are of the TG2472, not the 8200, but they're similar anyways): https://imgur.com/a/YgUYupx
Any ideas before I give them another call?
Also, irrelevant to the topic, but it seems that Netflix isn't working on my contour 2 boxes anymore saying I need to subscribe to Cox's internet. Mentioned that to the tech that came out and he said the same thing was happening to his...

Gigablast Technicolor CGM4141
Does Gigablast with the Technicolor CGM4141 support Moca 2.0 (and TiVO 4K)?
Is there a Docsis 3.1 Moca 2.0 bonded compatible cable modem that works with COX? (Note: I don't need Wifi or Phone, just Moca and Docsis 3.1)
Arris makes the TG3452 and DG3450 but they are not on Cox certification list.
I want Giagablast and Need Moca...any help?

[Modem] Cox Panoramic ...extra mac adresses broadcasting after disable
See attached screenshot, every network except the crossed out red neighbor is mine from the new Panoramic Gateway the ones that say Technicolor is coming from the modem and should be off. I disabled everything I could in the Gateway Interface, both radios, WPS then switched to bridge (Ethernet only) ..yet as you can see "Technicolor or Panoramic" is still broadcasting(despite what it says in management pane) ... I only want the highlighted networks coming off my RT-AC86U. I had to alter channels to avoid my own unwanted networks. I don't want to clutter the neighborhood with these extra unwanted networks. Any solution and why do the disable settings not work? I know tech so I am pretty certain I turned off everything...eventually hid the rouge networks SSID and shrunk channel range to minimum and type to a minimum as to try to minimize their effect. Ideally, I want them ALL OFF, any ideas? Even shows one "open" network which is troubling...can connect to it though might be for WPS.
Cox tech was of little help, said they would forward to engineers and I may be contacted or may not be contacted as they don't usually do that. The other info I received is that the Panoramic generates random mac addresses every day if that helps the far left is the last part of each mac address

1 GB dropped....back to 300 tier
Cox could not sustain 1GB in my area. Almost daily was at same performance as the previous lower cost 300 tier. Just dropped it and went back to what had before.
Really annoying Cox. You hyped and were not able to provide what YOU said YOU were able to support IF I paid for it.
Would like a refund for the 1 gb cost but no way to figure that out.

Cheap WiFi modem combo?
I'm looking to replace mom's old modem a SB6121 and an ancient router and thinking of getting an integrated modem/wifi/router device. She is on the Cox 10/1 plan so speed isn't an issue. She doesn't want a rental and would prefer inexpensive if it is going to work well.
I haven't paid a lot of attention to the combo units and looking at the Cox certified page isn't a lot of help in knowing which are problem free.
What would you suggest I get her?

Contour - Caller ID?
Been back with COX about a year now and when we first got the Contour 2, caller id was working. Sometime right after, caller id stopped working. Cox tech support wasn't any help and I didn't spend time to run down the issue. I think I read something shortly after saying the issue is widespread and nobody has working caller id.
Anyone have a working caller id on the Contour 2? If so, then I'll call tech support again. Thanks.

[Phone] COX Voice Issues?
Since switching to Cox Voice my wife has been having calls being disconnected while she is on a call. It is both when receiving a call or initiating a call. She hears the caller/called person but hears them asking her if she is still there and the the call disconnects. This has occurred from both of our corded phones. Trying to keep a log now of times this happens. I am using an Arris SB8200 for data and a Cisco DPQ3212 for voice(Gigablast). I cannot look at the status on my Cisco DPQ3212. Anyone else having issues with Cox Voice?

[CT] Upgraded to gigablast w/ potential signal problems.
Upgraded to Docsis 3.1 Gigablast a couple days ago from Ultimate 300/30 running my own MB8600. I was using the MB8600 for the 300/30 flawlessly for almost a year until a couple weeks ago when I started having intermittent service outages which I now attribute to Gigablast becoming available in my area.
I went online to pay my bill and saw that Gigablast was now available so I decided to give it a try for only $15/mo more given that I already had the equipment.
Upon testing the speeds over a wired connection I was only getting around 400-500Mbps which I assume is the router (RT-AC3100) trying to handle the gigabit speeds. Knowing that I need to turn some stuff off, I plugged straight into the modem and was able to pull ~900Mbps down. Tried it again, 200Mbps, again – 400Mbps. The down speeds seem to be all over the place while the upload is rock solid at 35-40Mpbs.
I checked the connection status of the modem and noticed that I had a new channel (OFDM PLC 159) which was not there last time I checked (maybe 6mo ago) and the 0.0dB SNR stood out to me. Assume this should be in 35dB range? Also, should channels 21-27 be locked/used?
I spoke with Cox in regards to the issue and they restored my modem, sent out the config file again, restarted it, etc. Nothing changed, they said I have signal issues and are going to have a tech come out this Sunday.
I figured I would ask for some insight into my connection status on here to see if there is actually a problem. Any help would be much appreciated.
Edit – Wanted to add that my house / cable install is only 10yrs old. The coax is underground in conduit to the box by the road. There is a Cox box on the outside of the house with a connector/ground terminal (ground is clean and tight as I had issues with it last year that I took care of). From the box it goes inside to a coax barrel connector then straight to the modem. No splitters, filters, amps etc. Maybe a 15-20ft run from the box on my house to the modem.

Docsis3.1....ish?
Hello all!
I have an Arris CM8200 modem. After having an outage the last 3 days (lighting struck the node... fun times!) I noticed now my modem shows a blue light for receive but a green light for transmit. Does this mean that Docsis3.1 is possibly being implemented in my area now or is this a fluke?
Thanks!
