We live in NW Florida and currently have an SBV-5222 for our phone and a SB6120 for our internet. The reason we have two modems is because of original phone line and coax cable placement issues. Within the last few months, the 6120 has been giving us issues and I've had to reset it to it's default settings through a browser to get it to work. Since initial installation, I have re-run cabling and can now have one modem serving both phone and internet. I believe reducing the coax lines will reduce signal loss and improve our connection.
The issue I have is: I have been wanting to upgrade to the 3212 but cox says it will cost their $6.99 a month to upgrade. Does that sound right?
