These are the problems i have been experiencing, seemingly at random (will be fine one day, and awful the next):
-Every device in the house has very, very slow internet (can't even watch YouTube videos at times)
-World of Warcraft latency spikes to upwards of 10,000+ MS, sometimes entirely disconnecting me from the game
-Apple TVs/iPhones simply cannot stay connected to the internet for more than 30 seconds, as they will automatically disconnect after detecting the download speed problems
-Occasionally i will get these insane latency spikes and "request timed out" messages when simply pinging my router (192.168.1.1) link: http://i.imgur.com/ZSMJKFf.png (this was using power-line network adapter)
-When running speedtest, it will maintain a decent download speed, then suddenly drop to zero, while the upload speed is seemingly unaffected, but not to the server closest to me (see pictures linked below)
I'm not exactly sure what info to post here, so if someone could tell me what i need to post, it would be appreciated, but
Here's what I've tried so far to fix the problem:
-Turning off all other devices in the house
-Restarting router+modem
-Changing QoS settings to give priority my computer
-Switching from WiFi to directly connecting
-Powerline Network Adapter (Linksys PLW400) (using this caused every device other than my own to basically be unusable)
-Resetting router to default factory settings
-Turning off IPv6
-Changing DNS to google public servers (8.8.8.8)
-Switching WiFi to 5GHz for less interference
-Using different wireless cards
Speedtest results
-Here's a speedtest result from a server only halfway across the state: http://i.imgur.com/2CP1SVJ.png (notice the download speed drops to zero twice in that short window)
-Here's a speedtest result from a server very close to where i live: http://i.imgur.com/jURAFOL.png (speed is steady, and much higher (but both have seemingly high ping)
This problem has reached a point to where it is making our house's internet entirely unusable for streaming video or playing online games at times. Any help is much appreciated.
