[OK] Download speed issues getting worse over weeks.

Been an issue since a week or two before Christmas and has gotten worse since then. Originally it would be for an hour or two a day (while online or streaming video) where download speeds would drop to 1.5mb/s or less before shooting back up without having to do anything (No reboots or anything), then after awhile it seemed a reboot was needed to fix and now nothing helps, tried leaving modem unplugged for half a day, plugged it back in and still no improvement, download stream has been at 1.5mb/s or less for 3 consistent days now while upload is still at 3-5mb/s. Installation has been in since October, no issues up until mid December, never required a modem restart, anything. Had a tech come out in December and verify wiring and replace modem/gateway Technical info: Modem/Router Combo - Netgear CG3000D-RG Cox Premier HSI (Up to 31megs with powerboost or whatever its called, normally see 20 to 25mb/s) Signal levels while seeing low download speeds: Downstream Bonded Channels Lock Status Modulation Channel ID Symbol rate Frequency Power SNR DOCSIS/EuroDOCSIS locked Locked QAM256 193 5360 Ksym/sec 837000000 Hz 4.9 dBmV 37.8 dB DOCSIS Locked QAM256 194 5360 Ksym/sec 843000000 Hz 4.5 dBmV 37.9 dB DOCSIS Locked QAM256 195 5360 Ksym/sec 849000000 Hz 4.3 dBmV 37.7 dB DOCSIS Locked QAM256 196 5360 Ksym/sec 855000000 Hz 3.5 dBmV 37.5 dB DOCSIS Locked QAM256 201 5360 Ksym/sec 861000000 Hz 4.2 dBmV 38.2 dB DOCSIS Locked QAM256 202 5360 Ksym/sec 867000000 Hz 3.9 dBmV 38.2 dB DOCSIS Locked QAM256 203 5360 Ksym/sec 873000000 Hz 3.7 dBmV 38.2 dB DOCSIS Locked QAM256 204 5360 Ksym/sec 879000000 Hz 3.3 dBmV 37.9 dB DOCSIS Upstream Bonded Channels Lock Status Modulation Channel ID Symbol rate Frequency Power Locked ATDMA 3 2560 Ksym/sec 31900000 Hz 38.0 dBmV Unlocked Unknown 0 0 Ksym/sec 0 Hz 0.0 dBmV Unlocked Unknown 0 0 Ksym/sec 0 Hz 0.0 dBmV Unlocked Unknown 0 0 Ksym/sec 0 Hz 0.0 dBmV Checked them yesterday and they were about the same as above. No big deviation anywhere. Cable modem is directly into the wall with no splitters, goes through the attic straight into the ground, no splitters anywhere between me and the feed coming from cox. No other cable services, all other ties were removed when tech was here in December so it is all on one leg. I ran four speed tests, one locally to OKC, Houston, Berkeley CA and New York City, all within an hour of each other. OKC: Ping 17ms, Down 1.50Mb/s, Up 3.55Mb/s Houston: Ping 27ms, Down 1.46Mb/s, Up 2.06Mb/s Berkeley: Ping 69ms, Down 1.34Mb/s, Up 1.75Mb/s NYC: Ping 56ms, Down 1.62Mb/s, Up 2.99Mb/s Any insight to this? Cox support has been less than helpful. Thanks, Kyle
