[OK] Can't get routers to work after new Cisco modem install.

Hello, it's been awhile since I have asked for some help. I just got a new modem from Cox cable today and after the tech hooked it up he asked me if I wanted him to hook up my router to it too, and since i had two routers I told him i would just do it... that might have been a mistake... The new modem is a Cisco DPQ3212 (with battery backup), and it is also used as a phone modem. I have two routers in my house. One is a d-Link DI-524, and the other is a Linksys E1500... Plus I have a Linksys Ethernet Switch. Before the new modem installation I had everything hooked up the exact same as I do today with the new modem, except I had a Motorola Surf-whatever modem. The way I have things hooked up is from the new modem the main ethernet cable going into the d-Link WAN port, then on the d-Link I have the ethernet port one going to the PC, and port two (red wire) going to the Linksys E1500 router in the living room and going into the ethernet port one of that modem (NOT the WAN input), and then the port two ethernet wire from the E1500 going to the Switch which has wires going to my TV, XBox 360, PS3, and extra PC. Main Modem ...|| d-Link---------------- ...||.....||(red wire) ...PC...||(red) ..........||(red) E1500 (red wire going into port one) ..........|| Ethernet Switch || || || || Various Devices (hopefully you understand my diagram) Like I said the setup before today (when I had the Motorola modem hooked up) everything was going 100% fine, but changing out the modem has caused the routers to not work 100% and when the d-Link does work... the speed of the internet goes down A LOT compared to having the modem being wired directly to the PC. I have cycled everything in every possible way that I can think of (except that I have yet to unplug the E1500 or the Switch). I have turned off the PC, unplugged the d-Link, unplugged the modem and took out the battery...waited for like 15min... plugged in the modem and reinstalled the battery and waited for the modem to boot completely back up (takes about 3min-5min), then plugged in the d-Link and waited for that to boot back up completely (2-3min), then turned on the PC... and either I will have REALLY REALLY slow speeds/latency or no internet at all. I have noticed that when the modem is plugged directly into the PC the "Link" light is green and blinking, but when the modem is going through the d-Link to the PC (and I'm actually getting onto the net even though it is very slow) the "Link" light is orange... I read somewhere that is because the router that it is going through isn't a 1GB router or something? (I have no clue on that part though) Can anyone hopefully shed some light onto what is causing my problem? I have tried messing with my d-Link's options (DHCP), but nothing seems to work.
