Our household consists of 3 desktops, 2 laptops, 5 smartphones, a few iPods, 2 PS3s, and an xbox. Between all of those we use a lot of bandwidth per month. Anything out of the norm in addition to our regular bandwidth requirements results in us going over our cap.
So far this month we've downloaded a fresh copy of WoW (30gb) and a few larger Steam games and it looks like that's gonna cause us to go over our cap this month by 70-100gb based on our current trends. Last month we went over by 30gb.
Being that this will be our second month of going over the cap, is Cox going to take any action against us? Previously we went over the cap in August, so that's 3 times in 9 months. Should we call or e-mail Cox and preemptively tell them that we're going to go over? Is there any way we can get our cap increased other than going up a tier?
I really don't want to be shut off because of this cap :(
