I visit the Cox Data Usage Meter on a daily basis. Last month our household came within 88 gigabytes of our data cap. If not for a local outage in our area that shut down internet for a day we would have come quite close to going over. We aren't gamers and don't download any movies, however, despite having a Cox Ultimate package with an additional Variety package option we stream a lot of Netflix, Amazon and Hulu. The only time I turn WiFi on with my iPhone is to download app updates. My sister, the other resident, leaves her iPhone WiFi on all the time as she claims it's how she gets to check her email (even though we hardly ever get more than two bars of signal strength where we live, I've always relied on patience and AT&T's LTE to check mine). What I'd be interested to learn is where and which devices gobble up the most data in a 30 day period, and what programs or apps are available to determine this.
