Hello,
I have Cox Gigablast. I never thought that I would see the day that Cox would announce that our area would be subject to data usage monitoring.
I used to have Cox Business at my home since I use data a lot (in the order of 8 TB/month). Before anyone thinks I am mistaken, I will clarify that I do backups for some of my customers and have many HD TV's using Netflix and Hulu. I have a MikroTik router that gives me detailed information on my connection. The information I have is accurate.
I have signed into the customer portal and navigated to the Data Usage Meter, however, when I try to access it, the web site reports:
---
My Data Usage
You do not have access to view the Data Usage Meter because you are subscribed to an Internet service option that does not require your usage amount to be monitored.
Current Services:
Cox High Speed Internet - Gigablast Package
---
So how am I supposed to know what they see as far as data usage and what my overage will be during this grace period where they will credit my account for the overage. Come September or October when the grace period will expire, am I looking at hundreds of dollars of overage fees?
Are other Gigablast folks seeing what I am seeing for the Data Usage Meter?
This roll-out has made this 20+ years Cox customer seriously think about going over to CenturyLink.
