Cox email accounts deactivated after 180 of "non usage"

Hey all, I had an issue with my in-laws that I found today. Here firstname.lastname@cox.net account she has had for 15+ years (No. VA then here in Las vegas) was deactivated -- no email notification, no nothing (technically, after hearing about this from my mother-in-law, I logged into her Gmail account and their was a notification in the UI that it could not login to the @cox.net account since d/m/2017). She found out by some people that still email that address that they received an undeliverable error message.. I got here set up on a G Suite account, new domain, etc., so she should could take full advantage of working on any device for email/contacts/calendar, etc + some other Google stuff that make sense for her to use in her business. I configured the feature in any gmail account (free or G suite) where you can config the account to pop3 into an existing account from google and pull down email, using SSL and real cox.net username and credentials. I see this no different then logging in to webmail.cox.net and reading my email. Granted, I am no longer sending email via this account, just want email to be sent to the account (in the event others did not change their contact info for my mother-in-law) or someone picks up some old collateral with the @cox.net email address and tries that email address. I did some searching on the Internet and found this: https://www.cox.com/aboutus/policies/speeds-and-data-plans.html It does mention an "inactivity" clause of 180 days, but explicitly says cox will delete the account. What I found when I logged into my in-laws account, was the email account was still listed, but as inactive. I was able to reactivate the account and all is good. See below snipit: "Dormant Mailbox Deleted(4) 180 days of email account inactivity on primary and secondary mailboxes (5) FN 4: "Dormant Mailbox Deleted: Any primary or secondary mailbox that is not checked for new email for at least 180 days following the last access by the user will be permanently deleted, and the contents will no longer be available. New messages sent to a mailbox that has been deleted will not be delivered. Customers will retain the right to the associated User ID as long as they remain a Cox customer in good standing and do not release the User ID. The Primary email account holder may reactivate dormant secondary mailboxes that have been deleted through Internet Tools, but may not reactivate mailboxes that have been deleted for inactivity as set forth above." Any one have ideas/thoughts? Cox folks? Thanks
