I have had Cox service twice since I moved into my home 15 years ago. The first time, I left as soon as possible for AT&T due to packet loss issues that were not last mile related, but rather seemed to be head end congestion. I've been on U-Verse for a long time now, and the speeds are not great at 45/5, but the reliability is excellent. Last year, I signed up with Cox again, and found that I was still losing packets, so I cancelled service within the grace period and left my AT&T service in place.
My question is: how can I find out if Cox has improved the network in my area? The technician who performed my last installation warned me (at the end of the install) that they had plans to split the town into 2 head ends and ease the congestion.
