Over the past 3 months, I've had constant packet loss issues on my Cox internet connection. I've had multiple technicians come out to try and resolve the issue to no avail.
Relevant technical details:
-Internet only customer. There are no splitters on the line, the cable goes from the modem to a fitting and grounding block on the side of the house, to the tap.
-48 hour Pingplotter log is attached. The ping target is the first hop after my modem.
-Modem signal levels attached. My modem is an SB6183. I also have a Cisco DPC3010 which cannot achieve the same speeds, but does get the same packet loss problems when connected.
-Speed tests give good results when the packet loss is only ~5%. When packet loss goes above 10%, the upload test sometimes fails to run entirely.
-I have also performed Voip line-quality tests which report anywhere from 1% to 20% upstream packet loss.
-I have performed tests both with and without a router
-All tests are performed while hard-wired with Cat5e or Cat6 cables
