High correctable number in modem stats

Hi everyone, for the last month I have been getting a very high number in the corrected table. It used to be I could go a month or two and only have a few, now as you can see in the attached screenshot, there are hundreds of thousands even being up less than a day. I first noticed it when the internet was going extremely slow. At that time I had over 600000 corrected items spread across all 16 channels. The uncorrected was around 2 million. My ping is good but the packet loss is around 5% if I do a 10 minute test. I have disconnected all splitters and even hooked the modem directly to the cox feed coming from underground in the orange tube and it is the exact same issue. I have called cox about it and they say speed was good at that time so there were no issues. They said if a tech came out I would probably have to pay $70 something for it. Is there a chance it is my modem or does this look like something on their side. Thanks - Paul
