I really should have done something about this sooner as this has been a problem now for probably 3 months or so but I was kinda waiting to see if fiber was coming in our neighborhood soon so I could switch, but it's taking longer than expected. Many times per day every day our internet connection drops for sometimes a few seconds up to a minute or so and it's really causing a lot of interruption as I'm a big gamer so it prevents me from playing games very well, among other things. I've been running PingPlotter off and on and always see a lot of jitter and drops. Here is an example of a couple times today http://imgur.com/a/fHSJv
Even when our internet seems to be working OK the jitter is up on several hops pretty much all day. Can anybody explain what is the likely cause here? I also will note that sometimes we see our cable TV get pixelated etc at various times and the internet drop is actually a separate drop from our cable TV run I believe so I doubt the issue is with my modem or inside cabling. Any thoughts, help would be appreciated!
