I just got my Cox Contour 2 receiver installed earlier this morning.
I have configured all of the shows that I want it to automatically record. I configured the recording options to only record NEW shows, start 2 minutes earlier, and record 5 minutes late.
While going through the Scheduled Recordings list, it would appear that a few shows "repeats" are set to record as well (in fact, some of them have already started to record).
So far, the series recording ALL episodes (even though I've set NEW only): Cops and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
Other shows such as Quantico, Person of Interest and Game of Thrones are not scheduling older episodes to automatically record, only the NEW ones as I have requested.
I have checked the series recording options, and it is in fact set for NEW episodes only. As a troubleshooting step, I cancelled the "Cops" series, then tried to go to the 8PM time-slot on the guide for tonight, then create a new recording using the same options as before. This results in ALL episodes being scheduled to record. Any idea of how I can prevent future "repeat" recordings?
I haven't run across this particular issue with the previous Contour 1 model DVR that this system replaced. I was told that I'm probably the first customer in my area to get the X1-based Contour 2 DVR so I'm sure there are some programming guide bugs to work out or something.
