Mesa AZ Lots of request time outs and uncorrectables

Hello. First off I've had a tech out here once already told me it was my wiring in the apartment. I have trouble believing this only due to past experiences with an ISP called Charter out in california that initially told me the same thing until I contacted corporate and filed a complaint with the BBB, then the problem suddenly became my node being over sold. I have a CM500 Netgear cable modem, my computer is hardwired and I do not use a router. I'm on their 300mb plan (I normally only get 150-180) I attached my cable modem info. What do you recommend I do? "IF" it is my wiring in the apartment I'm not sure if the landlord will fix it.
