[Off Topic] Demarc with amp

Did a job this morning with a 2 port amp install. MTA with 3 contour whole home. Since this forum has been talking about amps recently, I decided to post a picture of my work. This image is for anyone who is curious about how a proper demarc should be set up these days. Usually you don't want to amp the modem/MTA, but sometimes you just have to such as in this circumstance. What you see here is drop coming in to a groundblock. A jumper cable goes from the groundblock to a 2 port amp. 1 leg of the amp is dedicated to the MTA the other leg has a moca filter on it witch a jumper feeding a balanced 3 way splitter for proper whole home communication and link up. The amp is being powered from a room that doesn't have and isn't planning on having any cable services. All fittings are properly crimped, wrench tight (very important!) and have weather grommets on them. Now just because your demarc doesn't look like this, doesn't mean it's wrong. This is just a insight to satisfy curiosity. If you're having problems and its splitter galore at your demarc and the last time you had a tech over was 15 years ago, you might want to consider a truck roll... To the mods, I hope this isn't against forum rules posting this. Please take it down if it is.
