So was using a docsis 2.0 modem and separate router and came across a Cisco dpc3825 at a thrift store while I was visiting family in Oklahoma. My dad aka ventshop looked at it and said go for it as it would be an upgrade over my current setup.
Anyway talked to tech support to have it activated and in the middle of the chat they deactivated my old modem. No big deal the new one works but I need to have my account fixed so that I don't cap at 32mbps download when I should be getting around 50. Was told that it needed to be changed on my account by cox and with my last cut off in the middle of a conversation I figured this may work better. If a cox tech can contact me so that I can send them the information they need to get it fixed I would appreciate it. Maybe make sure the latest firmware is pushed as well while your at it. :)
