A bit of background for everyone. I stream on Twitch.tv, if any of you aren't familiar with the site it is a place where gamers can broadcast their gameplay live so fellow gamers can watch. With that said, it requires a consistent upload speed.
Since Friday or Saturday my upload speed had been completely dropping out leaving me only download speed. I can view websites such as YouTube, Netflix etc. Sometimes when the upload speed drops off my entire connection will come to a crawl, making websites such as Twitter and Facebook fail to load. I know this problem isn't isolated. I have a friend that lives two buildings away from me in the same apartment complex and his upload speed drops at the exact same time mine does.
So far I have had two technicians come out. The first looked at wiring on the side of the building I am located at in my apartment complex. The second checked for bad signals in the main line. They both found no reason for the upload to drop other than it could be something to do with a bad amp, settings with the amp, or the cold weather that just started here in Oklahoma could have had an effect on the amp.
The second tech said he put in a work order for the node or amp specifically checked. I have yet to hear anything back regarding that work order. If anyone has ever had a similar problem please give me some advice. I can not pursue my career as a broadcaster without my upload speed.
