First question is what speeds should I expect during peak usage hours? I currently get great speeds in the morning which are always between 170 Mbps and 195 Mbps down and 20-30 Mbps Up. hen in the afternoon things drop down closer to my actual tier levels of 150 Mbps Down and 20 Mbps up and they stay that way.... until around 8 PM. Almost every night my speeds drop to between 75 Mbps (testmy.net) and 105 Mbps (speedtest.net multiple servers). My uploads stay in the 20-25 range so no issues there that I can tell. I have had at least 5 technicians come out and all done different things but ultimately nothing fixes it. I have the following setup:
Model Name: SB6141
Vendor Name: Motorola
Firmware Name: SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.12-SCM00-NOSH
Boot Version: PSPU-Boot(25CLK) 1.0.12.18m3
Hardware Version: 7.0
Firmware Build Time: Mar 12 2013 17:48:19
(This is my second modem by the way; My first modem somehow died in the middle of all this)
That is connected to an Asus RT-AC68U and then I have a new cat 6 cable running to my PC which is Windows 7 64 bit, i7 processor, gigabit nic, 8 gb ram.
I have the Cox Whole Home Setup with a DVR and a receiver so there are splitters involved at the modem and upstairs on my receiver plus at the incoming line. I live in a condo with 30 units which I think is part of my problem but all support tells me I shouldn't be seeing this slow down. One tier two guy told me that he saw noise before it was even getting to my modem. The most recent tech tested all my signals inside my place and said they were good and all of them have said they are going to hand this issue off to the next level of support but nothing ever happens. Attaching my modem signals which all look good to me. Should I just accept that I can't get the speed I want and go back to lower tier?
