I just purchased a new Motorola SB 6141 cable modem to replace my old docsis 3.0 4 x 4 modem with a docsis 8 x 4 one, and I'm noticing what might be an issue with the signal to noise ratio.
I did the self-activation process to swap the old modem on my account record. After that I went to the cable modem status page to check out the stats of my new modem. The signal to noise ratio seems lower than what was on my old modem. I also notice that the Correctable codewords and the Uncorrectable Codewords seem to be going up at a faster rate than my old modem as well.
Could something be wrong with my new modem? or is my line just not "used" to running with 8 channels yet? (old modem was maxed at 4)
