Cox 12 month price lock is not a lock on price..lock on discount?!

Looking for suggestions on what to do next: I contacted Cox in November and agreed to a price. The representative stated the price and said it was locked for 12 months. I agreed to that price for 12 months. At no point in the conversation was it mentioned that the price lock for 12 months was actually only a discount locked in for 12 months based on current pricing. In 2014, Cox raised their rates on internet and phone in Phoenix. My charges went up about 12%. I called, was escalated around, or tossed around, for 10 minutes. I asked for a supervisor and was told none were available and the representative said I have the best rate. I explained that if I told someone a price in my business and didn't stick to the price they would be frustrated. If that were her, I expect she would be frustrated with me and wouldn't trust me. I am in that situation with her company right now. I asked her to please make the situation right. I only want what I was offered and agreed to - the price quoted. She finally said, after 30 minutes she was not allowed to put me on hold any longer for a supervisor and hung up. I called back, explained I am not frustrated with the employee, frustrated with Cox - sat on hold for another 10 minutes and the call abruptly ended. For all I know it was my cellular phone. Don't know for sure. I am frustrated with the level of explanation after being with Cox for 15 years. One neighbor insists he sat on the line until a supervisor answered and got his price back to where it was. Another neighbor gave up and went to CenturyLink in frustration and he is happy to keep going back and forth every couple years to get the best rate. Our neighborhood is in a CenturyLink area with 40Mbs speeds, which is more than I need and their price is approx the same (averaging two years) as Cox, with former rate. I currently receive about 30Mbs with Cox, on average, with horrible Netflix and YouTube during peak hours - so we don't use the internet much except for news and email. So before I call back, for a third time. Any other suggestions besides stay on the phone or switch providers? Email, write a letter, write my congressperson (lol)... No loyalty from them = no loyalty from me. Thanks -J
