I currently have the Ultimate tier from Cox in Las Vegas (150 down 20 up). The connection seems fine during the day, but later on the download speeds drop dramatically. Sometimes I get 80 down, other times 30 down, and sometimes 2mb down. I know Cox guarantees 90% of the speed, but I rarely even get that. The upload speeds always seem fine however.
My setup is: Motorola SB6141 (black color) > Cat 6 cable > Asus AC68U > Cat 6 cable > Watercooled gaming pc
From above nothing from my gear should be bottlenecking anything. I've tried different computers and different routers. My modem levels are perfect as I had a tech come down a while back, 37dB + or - 1 for the SnR and 0 + or - 1 for the power levels. I have 8 bonded channels down and 2 up.
I have tested my download speeds from multiple servers that can all saturate the 150mbps. I also have somewhat high ping in games to nearby servers (60+ ping), I know I don't have fiber but 60 ping is really annoying. When downloading the latency sometimes reaches 200+ when the line isn't close to being saturated.
I've called and chatted with cox a few times, and they have all said their connection to me is fine. I had a supervisor come down also, and he couldn't do anything.
Is cox service really this bad or can there be something wrong.
Here is a speedtest, obviously it isn't what I'm paying for...

Sometimes it is worse than that. The latency is also somewhat high for being >10 miles from the server.
Here is a pingtest, which seems fine:

I understand I'm being picky, but the speed I get sometimes is ridiculous.
