I switched from COX HSI to Verizon FiOs on 1/29/2014 and called Cox to cancel the same day. Disconnecting was fast, the service was cut during the call to cancel.
I logged in my Cox account to check 2 days later, and found there are $40 "Equipment Charge" and $2.40 "TV Fees". I never had TV or phone services. I signed up Cox HSI Essential promotion at $34.99 2 year ago with my own cable modem. My monthly HSI was $45.99 at time of my cancellation after 2 price hikes.
I called Cox about the $40 "Equipment Charge" and $2.40 "TV Fees" and was told it's Cox's mistake. My "due" on my online account became $27.59 after the call ($45.99 HSI minus partial month credit), I paid full on line.
I checked my account yesterday, My "due" became $42.4. I called Cox again, and was told it's Cox mistake, credit will be issued.
This morning I receive an email reminder of due $42.4 on 03/04/2014, I logged in my Cox account, the due is still $42.4.
How long and how may calls do I need to have Cox correct billing errors?
I was thinking about switching back to Cox at end of my Fios contract, now I have very mixed feeling about Cox.
