Q: I see from another post that 52 is the limit for a good upstream power level, I'm now at 51, is 51 OK, or do I need to get my upstream levels checked?
I've been having signal level issues (I IM'd and emailed via the forum links) and notice overnight I was again down for 1 Hr. This morning my DPC3010 is showing the following:
1/9/2014 - 7:00 AM
Downstream Channels
Power Level: SNR:
Channel 1: 0.0 dBmV 41.9 dB
Channel 2: 0.7 dBmV 42.6 dB
Channel 3: 0.9 dBmV 42.6 dB
Channel 4: 0.3 dBmV 41.9 dB
Channel 5: 0.2 dBmV 41.9 dB
Channel 6: 0.6 dBmV 40.6 dB
Channel 7: -0.1 dBmV 40.0 dB
Channel 8: 0.3 dBmV 40.5 dB
Upstream Channels
Power Level:
Channel 1: 51.0 dBmV
Channel 2: 51.0 dBmV
Channel 3: 51.0 dBmV
Channel 4: 51.0 dBmV
On 1/7-8/2014 the levels showed the following:
Downstream Channels
Power Level: SNR:
Channel 1: -7.1 dBmV 38.0 dB
Channel 2: -6.4 dBmV 38.4 dB
Channel 3: -6.2 dBmV 38.5 dB
Channel 4: -6.8 dBmV 38.1 dB
Channel 5: -6.8 dBmV 38.1 dB
Channel 6: -6.5 dBmV 37.4 dB
Channel 7: -7.2 dBmV 36.8 dB
Channel 8: -6.8 dBmV 37.2 dB
Upstream Channels
Power Level:
Channel 1: 54.0 dBmV
Channel 2: 54.0 dBmV
Channel 3: 0.0 dBmV
Channel 4: 0.0 dBmV
So it seems 4 Bonded Upstream channels were deployed overnight. I see from another post that 52 is the limit for a good upstream power level, I'm now at 51, is 51 OK, or do I need to get this looked at?
Thanks,
Dan Foxley
