What confuses me about what Cox is doing, is why are they dropping channels (despite the low viewership) such as HBO Comedy HD and the such, if they have plenty of bandwidth? If bandwidth is at a premium, why not drop the SD channels in the digital realm? They are already doing a soft kill in the analog realm to certain channels.
About 99 percent of the channels are in HD. There are still those who have old TV sets, the boxes can downgrade the signal to match it.
The reason down here why we haven't flipped to all digital is because of "the condos here do not want cable boxes" which is BS.
Cox, please drop the SD channels, We are paying for HBO, despite there isn't a high audience to HBO Comedy HD, it's still being offered BY HBO.
Or, at least replace it with a movie channel such as Epix 2, Fox Movie Channel HD, or the like.
I hope this makes sense to everyone.
