[CA] Connection Issues

Has anyone had any issues since midnight on 11/1 in the Irvine (92618) area? I was uploading a file about 100MB to Dropbox around midnight when my connection went down at 12am this morning. I figured it was related the speed increases so I ignored it and went to sleep. However, when I left for work this morning at 7:30am, my internet was still down. I have the Motorola SB6141 and noticed that all the lights were on before leaving. When I got to work, I tried to VNC onto my computer but it was still down. I decided to chat with a Cox tech and had them send the power cycle signal. This brought the modem back up and I was able to VNC. After about two hours, I uploaded another file over 100MB to Dropbox. During this time, I wasn't able to VNC back in. After waiting two hours, I contacted Cox again and had them send the power cycle signal again. And again, I was able to VNC back on. I started another upload and then it went down again. I gave up with the online chat and called Cox. The tech said she couldn't see my modem so she provisioned it and it came back up. She also said my signals looked good. Her conclusion was that I might have a bad modem, so I'll be replacing it tonight. Before ending my call, she said that my modem had gone back down. After I hung up, I tried VNCing and it worked. I checked 192.168.100.1 and it showed that my modem was on for over 10 minutes (that's when she sent the first power cycle command). I was expecting it to say less than 3 minutes, in the event that she power cycled it again for me. I don't know if it's related to me uploading a large file to Dropbox or not. One thing to add, I did just get the SB6141 two days ago. When I first got it, I had some problems activating it. First, the MAC address was entered incorrectly into Cox's system (two characters were flipped). After calling them back, the second tech readded the MAC address but added an extra character. After figuring that out, I was able to get online. Another thing, when I was chatting with the Cox tech, I asked what IP address was linked to my modem. They said 10.72.xxx.xxx. I told them that was wrong and it was 68.xxx.xxx.xxx and they said that's what was showing up. They insisted that it wasn't the 68.xxx.xxx.xxx even though I was VNCed into my computer using the 68 IP. When I called Cox, I asked what IP was linked to my modem and she told me the correct 68.xxx.xxx.xxx one. I'm wondering if somewhere in Cox's system, there's an incorrect IP that's getting me kicked off. Not sure, but I figured I'd throw that out there. Oh, and one last thing I noticed. When I'm uploading a big file to Dropbox, I can't really browse the internet. It takes a long time to resolve DNS or do anything (I'm using Google's DNS servers). If I pause the upload, everything resumes just fine. I know my download speed decreases if I'm uploading, but it feels like it's not downloading at all. I'm on the Premier plan. Any help from a Cox tech would be appreciated. Thanks
