This problem has been occurring for sometime. I've had a Cox field technician out to the house, but of course the problem wasn't occurring when he was over. I've had Cox replace all cables leading to house and every connector in house. Signals look good. I've even replaced my Cisco STA1520 tranceiver, as well as the M-card in My TiVo Premiere 4. The problem was occurring on my old TiVo Premiere with a completely different M-card, so I know it's not my Tivo. Anyways, I call Cox everytime it happens and I have begun recording video the date/time and behavior, including my reboots of the transceiver and the TiVo, in order to demonstrate that reboots do not fix the problem. The problem always resolves itself when it wants. On 8/3, 1034 was out from 5-7:15pm, then suddenly came back. On 9/18, 1034 was out from 7-7:30pm. On 9/25, 1034 was out from 5:30-6:15. Each time, it comes back on its own without my doing anything on my end. Today, a Cox representative finally told me something that makes sense - that it sounds like a network problem on their end. She said she is going to escalate and they will call me back. The last escalation I had with Cox, they said they were sending someone out. When he came out, they told me that Cox will sometimes drop channels if they are not being watched. I find it hard to believe MSNBC is not being watched in the evenings, especially considering the fact that I've never had any other HD channel exhibit this behavior...ever. Anyways, the saga continues.
