For the past few weeks, my cox internet connection has been absolutely abysmal in the evenings/night. It's at the point where I keep getting kicked off game servers and can't stream Netflix half the time. Speedtest shows speeds lower than 1MB when it's like this. During the day I can consistently get close to 20MB ( what I'm supposed to).
Common sense tells me it's a network congestion issue, but my question is will reporting it to Cox make any difference? As far as I'm aware, they would need to upgrade hardware to fix an issue like that wouldn't they?
Doesn't really make sense to me in the first place anyways. A few months back Centurylink came through the neighborhood and quite a few neighbors switched over. You'd think the network wouldn't be as crowded.
