I guess they upped the speed(as a previous thread announced) and because I have a DOCSIS 2.0 modem I got a popup message from Cox. It said I should upgrade to a free DOCSIS 3.0 modem. I called just to verify the message was legit and it was; however, since I only have internet I do not qualify for the free modem upgrade and it would be $89. The lady on the phone said I should go into the local Cox store and see if they will give me a credit toward the new modem, as the DOCSIS 2.0 modem I am using now is less than a year old. Worth the hassle to go from up to 20 to 25?
