I've been having troubles with my internet for at least two weeks now. I figured Cox would just fix itself so I just left it alone, but it's getting a bit annoying now as it's impossible to even stream youtube videos without it pausing every 30 seconds for about 10 seconds.
Surfing the web and checking email is fine, but it is slow sometimes. It feels like my Internet is pausing every 30 seconds or so.
I've attached my signal levels. My cable modem is 3 years old and router is around 2.5 years old.
My cable modem: Motorola SB6120 SURFboard DOCSIS 3.0 eXtreme Broadband Cable Modem (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001UI2FPE/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
Router: Medialink - Wireless N Broadband Router - 150 Mbps - 2.4GHz - 802.11n w/ Internal Antenna (http://www.amazon.com/Medialink-Wireless-Broadband-802-11n-Internal/dp/B0044YU60M/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_y)
Although I've only had these problems two weeks ago, my download speed can only reach about 1.2 MB/sec now compared to around 2.5 MB/sec a couple of months ago. I think my internet has been getting worst since the cox upgrade a couple of months ago.
I'm on the Cox Preferred Internet Plan if that matters. Please help me fix this problem and thanks in advance
