I just wanted to chime in with my experience. I live in an apartment and was worried about my OTA reception but I took the plunge and ordered a Mohu Leaf.
I was AMAZED. Every channel in the area came in with great signal strength, the minimum was 40, but most averaged 50-60, PBS came in at 77.
I placed it in the ceiling corner and it worked wonders. Now I have all local channels with no jitter or dropouts.
I have the standard HD box, and I'm beyond sick of this horrible UI and believe it's such a joke Cox wants to charge users for a less anachronistic UI.
But the reality is simple, there are now far better end-user options that even my grandmother can understand.
End result, it's 2013 Cox. Get with the damned times. You successfully helped kill Tru2Way, you bastardized CableCard support with your SDV adapters, and now you want to charge users for a reasonable UI?
I'm sorry but even an Apple TV and Season Passes + OTA is far cheaper than this ridiculous new UI service.
And $20 for basic cable? HAH!
