I really struggle with the contour 2 ... I am used to my old cable box. the new box for the past two months has been nothing but a struggle for me. Technical support via internet chat is terribly inadequate. nothing against the people. COX just does not give them the tools and knowledge to do the job. If anyone can tell me how to set up a recording that allows me to manually set up a recording please, please respond to this topic.... I have followed their instructions but when I select record while on the program guide item I want to record, I never get an option to use the up and down arrows to manually set times. it is all or nothing .... If I have two recordings set the my only option is to accept the recording and lose one of the two recordings I previously had set (Contour 2) Some programs start or end one or two minutes early, thus I want to manage recordings by adjusting one of my recordings to start or stop one or two minutes early or late. My contour 1 easily allowed this. The contour 2 does not. it the right situations I can start early or end late but I can never start late or end early with the contour 2. In most situations the contour 2 does not even give me that ability it is impossible to set any times. I can only elect to choose to record at the expense of canceling another recording
