I had to exchange my box at the Cox store the other day due to the old one refusing to delete dvr recordings. Had changed the function on the old one to 15 second skips. According to google it says press Exit Exit Exit 0030 (or whatever time you want, 0015 for 15 seconds) but I cannot seem to make it work. Now its only skipping forward/back in 1 second increments.
