Found this on Cox's forum. Seems they are sending out emails telling people to use SSL (and not TLS) for Imap. Seems IMAP without SSL will stop working tomorrow. Does the new system still not work with TLS?
"For your protection, after November 7, 2017, devices with outdated settings will no longer be able to send or receive messages from your Cox.net Email until the setting changes are made."

TL;DR This means any client not capable of SSL will no longer be able to send/receive starting tommorow. This includes many printers and IOT devices.
