[VA] Problems with Cisco 9865 whole Home DVR 6 channel

Have had this DVR since Feb. Starting in August, have experienced three different problems, each repeatedly: 1. Gray Screen part way through playback During program playback, part way into show, get gray screen. Fast forward doesn't work. Replaying show from start, get gray screen at same place. 2. Error on playback When trying to play back program, get black screen with Window titled “DVR Network Unavailable” and message “Sorry, we have experienced a problem playing back this recording. Please try again in a few minutes. If the problem continues, please contact Cox Customer Service at 1-866-961-1207. Reference 2.1.2.7 when calling." Other programs play back fine, but trying again over several days this one will not. 3. Missed recordings Shows don't record and are listed under "Missed Recordings" with the message: “Recording failed because we experienced some technical difficulties” This has even occurred while watching a show -- that is, the show is on screen live, but will not record. I press record but the record indicator does not show up and later I see the show under missed recordings. I am wary of calling support because they will make me do all the things I have already done like: - unplug/restart DVR, - delete scheduled recordings and re-add them, - confirm that I do not have more than 6 shows recording, - confirm that cable was not out Any suggestions would be appreciated.
