I did some ping test to a server being setup in NY I think. The server was being moved there for ddos protection due to constant attacks for over a month. From Az I am seeing 85ms. I posted in chat where the guy setting it up was along with a trace route:

He noticed a problem: "you need to call your ISP and tell them there is a failure between lax12 and lax112... There is a 60ms diffrence between those two hosts in the same geographic location."
Seems the best way to get this info in cox people who would know what to do about it would be just to post it here. When you call support about a problem, after you get through all the stupid automated menu systems and get a person, first thing they do is turn into another automated system and start reading off a check list.. 'First reboot your modem..."
