I'm back to having issues with my upload on Cox. I can easily peg my 10Mbps upstream with Speedtests but when I actually try to use it for anything productive there's no consistency whatsoever to the speed that I get. Sometimes I get the full 10Mbps but more often than not I get a mere fraction of that. I am currently trying to perform my monthly data backup, to Google Drive, and I'm getting no more than 2.5Mbps. I see the same issue when I try to upload files to the office, my GF's house, my cell phone, etc.
Signal levels on the modem are fine, a bit high on the downstream side, but Cox did a whole ton of work on the plant here last year and found them acceptable, and I have no issues with connection stability. What gives? Are they neglecting their peering (again)?
