C6250-100NAS - On Cox - I don't know much about this type of device (modem/router). Not sure of the tier they are on. I'm guess it is essential or preferred.
My Mother-in-law has one of these at the house. Everyone is complaining that network is slow. Of course when I ask if they called Cox... of course not.
I took a look at the device remotely and pulled data off it.
Looks to me that like the power levels are all over the place.
Uncorrectables seem high too, hard to figure out how long since last reboot.
It seems to respond slowly as well.
I set up so that I could ping it remotely to see if it was dropping off and it seems okay, but I really can't do a good speed test remotely to know for sure.
The only computer I can get on remotely at the house is my Mother-in-laws and it is the absolutely the slowest POS I have ever touched (even when I am at the house it is fall asleep slow), so it is really hard to see if the connection remotely is really bad, or just the computer.
Other devices at the house are a couple Win boxes, phones, Xbox (don't know how they use it), iPad and some tablets.
I will be going by this afternoon to get a better look, just curious if anyone had any experience with one of these on Cox. Going to bring my notebook so I can do some real tests.
