I have a property that is not on Cox service and the network demands of my work at home job are outgrowing base DSL service. Aside from the houses on my particular street, literally every other property around me has Cox service. This is deep inside a well established city and in an area zoned for 1 acre lots/horse property. Cox wants $17,000 in installation fees to extend service down my road (Dirt road A in drawing)
My property borders three neighbors that have Cox Coax service that runs down the next street over (Dirt road B). I have permission from one of these neighbors to use the easement on their property line to run a Coax line to my property. This will extend a line of Coax about 370 feet off street with service to edge of my house. See attached drawing.
Is this technically feasible and do you think Cox will go for this? Even if they nail me for a pricey install it has to be a lot better than $17k.
