We've called Cox a couple times to complain about slow internet. The problem is intermittent. Sometimes we get 20Mbps, but more often it is less then 3. Sometimes less than 1. Of course they blamed the old DOCSIS 2 modem and old router running DD-WRT. So I've spent over $100 upgrading hardware to an Arris SB6141 and ASUS RT-ACRH13 just to prove them wrong. I'm tired of waiting on the phone and being told to unplug devices for 30 seconds, so I'm posting here hoping to get a more technical conversation.
Please take a look at the attachments. Modem Logs.xslx shows the frequent MDD loss errors. And the jpgs show that some channels have bad SNR and sometimes completely dropout. Filename is the timestamp of the screenshot.
This is in an old apartment complex, so I know the wiring is sketchy. What's the quickest way I can get a truck to roll and come inspect the lines? If there's a Cox tech on these forums I'll provide account info and anything else you need in PM.
