Post-post edit: It gets better - just got a second email from Cox asking for confirmation. The Subject of the official Cox confirmation request email is:
-- SPAM --Cox Communications - Validate Your Email Address
Post-post-edit edit: It's getting worse. I just clicked on the "Continue" button of that confirmation email and it said my email address had been changed to my very first original email address instead of simply acknowledging the creation and confirmation of a new email address. I'm logging into Cox now to see if, ahem, =I= have damaged something. :(
