Cox cap enforcement

I've signed up for Amazon Drive in order to start backing up all my files. At $60/year it's cheaper than buying redundant hard drives and gets offsite backup. I live in Moore, OK and am on the 300/30 plan. From what I understand I technically have a 1 TB cap, but it's really only financially enforced in Cleveland, right? I have about 6 TB of stuff to backup (mostly Plex movies), what would happen if I got everything setup and just went crazy for a month? Afterwards I'd be back down towards my 300 GB typical usage, maybe a 100 GB extra for keeping things backed up now. I'm mostly just concerned with this clause in their TOS "If you exceed your data plan, your service is not interrupted except in the rare cases of excessive usage". Does anybody have any experience if I could get by with 1 huge month? And yes, I realize full tilt on my upstream it'd take around 3 days for 1 TB, hence why I'd really prefer to just hit it hard for a few weeks and be caught up.
